It is these connections, these relationships between elements of seemingly vastly different cultures, that fascinate me. I therefore conceived this collection as a journey between Asia, Africa, and Paris through time. This journey also involves the collaboration I established with the painter Wang Ying, who is also a diplomat and who paints Parisian landscapes using a technique that draws on both traditional Chinese painting and Impressionism. Wang Ying created prints on silk and on new eco-friendly bamboo-based fabrics, as well as paintings on fabric.

Imane Ayissi

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/1000/0616/6875/collections/Imane-Ayissi-HC-F24-010-scaled.jpg?v=1773500480
